Thyroid Function Risk

Thyroid Function Risk

The Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) gets transmitted into your blood and into every tissue in your body to aid in energy, staying warm, and keeping the brain and other organs working properly. If TSH levels are too high or too low, this may indicate that your thyroid is overactive (hyperthyroidism) or underactive (hypothyroidism). Most thyroid conditions can be managed with medication, but going undiagnosed, a thyroid disorder may put you at risk for other diseases. This test does not require fasting.
