COVID-19

Comprehensive COVID-19 Testing Solutions

Coronavirus (COVID-19) is an infectious disease like no other we’ve seen in our lifetimes and it has truly turned our world around in all areas. The disease can be dangerously transmitted, both silently and rapidly, from person to person without the knowledge that one is even infected. The asymptomatic spread of the virus along with the difficulty distinguishing everyday allergy or cold symptoms from those associated with the coronavirus has caused many of us to change our everyday routines of work, school and everything in between. The effort to reduce the spread of the virus has come at a great cost that has left many of us struggling to balance our responsibilities and obligations amidst these changes. Widespread testing is one of the efforts that will help return our lives back to normal.

The NextGen Advantage

As a CLIA certified and CAP Accredited lab, we adhere to the highest level of clinical testing. NextGen labs offers a variety of testing options to determine if a patient has an active infection of COVID-19 or whether they have the IgG antibodies to SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. COVID-19 tests are performed utilizing high-throughput PCR instruments from either a nasal swab or a saliva sample. COVID-19 antibody samples are collected from either a nasal swab or a venous blood draw and results are determined using the advanced Qiagen eHub, which offers the highest sensitivity level and specificity results in the field.

Additionally, NextGen offers the option of performing testing for 22 respiratory pathogens included in our Respiratory Panel. This allows clinicians to test for the full spectrum of causative agents of upper respiratory tract infections, including COVID-19. We also offer a smaller, targeted three panel RP test for Flu A, Flu B and RSV. Panel testing can also include testing for Valley Fever if desired.

Our labs are committed to remaining at the forefront of our field during these unforeseen times. It is our promise to continue to advance our services and response to COVID-19 in order to help our communities solve problems, mitigate risk, offer solutions and provide Better Outcomes for all those affected and at-risk.
