Prothrombin Time (PT) with INR

Prothrombin Time (PT) with INR

A PT test assists in diagnosing your body’s ability to form blood clots, computing how many seconds it takes for a clot to form after substances are added. INR (international normalized ratio) is determined from a PT result and will observe how well warfarin (Coumadin) anti-coagulant medication is working to prevent clotting. This test does not require fasting.
