The pregnancy test confirms if you are pregnant by the presence of hCG (the pregnancy hormone) in your system. This hormone progressively increases during the first trimester of a normal pregnancy. The test is qualitative and only detects the presence of hCG in your blood. Please note that this test is not quantitative and therefore does not measure the amount of hCG. If you would like more information about your hCG levels, it is recommended that you follow up with a physician or OB-GYN. This test does not require fasting.
