There are 2 types of COVID-19 antibody tests: a spike protein test and a nucleocapsid test. Antibodies are blood proteins in our bodies that are produced to counteract a specific antigen.
This test is a spike protein test which can discover antibodies from an infection, with or without symptoms. Following a COVID-19 vaccination, positive results may still appear. It is not yet known how viable this test is at detecting antibodies in those who have been vaccinated.
This less precise COVID-19 Antibody Test will provide a result (positive or negative) and a numerical value that can show your immune response over time if you use the same test.
